Dan Graves and Darryl Andrews are life-long friends, long-time creative collaborators, and fans of old-time DC Comics. They bring you this special blog out of a love for the many DC Digests and Tabloids they enjoyed in their youth, and are on a quest to acquire and (finally!) read the many that eluded them back in the day.
Dan Graves is an Anglican priest, academic, and writer in Bradford, Ontario.
Darryl Andrews is an entertainment industry consultant, concert/event photographer, and telecommunications specialist in Abbotsford, British Columbia.

Good luck and 'bon voyage' guys.
ReplyDeleteJust started to delve into and sell off the comics left CCC. I unfortunately had to dispose of some by shovel when it came time to move and found some boxes had been damaged by water and mice. [Sob.}Local comic book store has no back issues to mention, says he can't sell them profitably !!! {shakes head wistfully]
Met a Batman collector from Windsor when he stopped to look through a box of 50 centers, needless to say no Batman there. but I have sold him a few, and will sell more as I get them unpacked and organized.
Thanks, Al.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sad story, both about the water damage and the lack of interest in back issues. Alas. Of course, it goes without saying that if you come across any digests or tabloids, think of us! And hey, if you ever want to do a guest post just let us know!
